The “BURROW” Campaign
Barony Utilisation of Recovered Relics Objects and Weapons
The Defenders are recruiting for inexperienced or prospective patrolees interested in being trained to follow-up after major patrol actions: retrieving dead bodies, identifying and collecting magical, miraculous or crafted items, clearing traps, checking on local inhabitants, and generally ensuring the area is safe for regular citizens again.
The Burrow was initially set-up near Amon Gwareth garrison between 113AE and 115AE during the Necoctzicoatl campaign as a location to safely store artifacts associated with that cult. It has since been developed into a bigger facility, where components and artefacts are tested and checked over for magical and miraculous properties, drawing in the expertise of other guilds (primarily the Towers, Circle, Temple of Freedom, and Demon Hunters).
What type of character can I play?
Any of the standard player races – humans (including dwarves), elves, half-elves, half-orcs and half-ogres – and all legal Kingdom guilds and out-Kingdom organisations, and unaligned characters who follow legal alignments.
Can I bring my Character from a previous campaign into this one?
Absolutely, and if you let us know you are planning this, we may have opportunities for you to introduce your character early in the campaign so you can get the benefit of roleplaying with other campaign characters.
The local area and its history
Bordering on Ludshire, the area of Wimbourne Downs also has a history of being associated with fae, who are said to have dwelt under its many hills.
Before the Kingdom of Exiles arrived this was a majority elven area with the Ondolindë family encouraging suspicion of outsiders. The current Laird Ondolindë, who inherited the title from his late wife, is known to be a follower of freedom and has accordingly promoted an opening of borders and welcomed newcomers and new ideas.
Wimbourne has expanded alongside the facility, from being a medium-sized village in 113AE to a small town now in 125AE. Some of the newer inhabitants are family members of those who work at the facility while others have been drawn by the increased trade.
What information do we need you to provide?
At a minimum, we need your character name, race, guild affiliation, planned starting rank, and an indication of whether you are local or not.
Please feel welcome to send us additional backstory or roleplay information you consider relevant but ideally no more than a page or two.
